Family trip, first time staying in Tahoe during the winter, This house was all we hoped for and more. Waking up to the snow right in our yard. Warm, cozy and had all the amenities described and more. The host Walt was responsive, friendly and accommodated our need. Thank you for sharing your home!

The house was very nice and clean. Its located very close to the downtown area and also private enough where there is calm and peace. The patio is beautiful and opens in the woods. My family had a great time and would recommend this place to anyone who wants to visit Lake Tahoe. Walt was very responsive and a great host

It’s a nice place because it’s close to downtown. However, the weather was extremely hot during our stay. Without air conditioning, it was difficult to fall asleep at night.

Beautiful home in South Lake Tahoe. The single level floor plan is desirable and the open kitchen/living room/dining room layout is great. There is plenty of room in the backyard/patio area to play in the snow. The kitchen is big and roomy and fully stocked. The host was very responsive and accommodating. Would highly recommend this place!

We stayed in Walt’s home for 3 nights and 4 days with 2 families of 5. I was very impress with the layout of the home, very spacious with the open floor plan. We were able to have dinners together, play games and hang out at the patio very comfortably. The home is right across the street from a park to bring young kids or take a walk in the morning. There is also a very close by hiking trail that is only a few minutes drive that Walt recommended that my family and I went on and it met our expectations for a beautiful 3 mile hike that had great views of the lake and just being able to enjoy the nature. Walt is also a superhost for sure, he is very responsive, If I needed something I would send him a text and he response very quickly with answers and recommendations. I would recommend Walt’s place to anyone looking for a wonderful place to stay in the Tahoe area.

Lovely house, well-stocked for a long comfortable stay. Excellent location for exploring nearby tourist areas including some hiking areas. Small playground directly across the street. The hosts communicate proactively and promptly.
I’d definitely recommend this unit for a family stay.

We celebrated my husbands birthday on the 4th of July at Walt’s house. Loved the location. Very close to all the activities we wanted to do and restaurants. The location is beautiful, very private and lots of trees. The house is beautiful, very specious and feels like home.

We enjoyed our stay. We loved how it backs to a forest. A small park is in front for kids. It includes a dog park. Just a few minutes from the state line. Close enough to South Lake Tahoe, without having to deal with the traffic. Restaurants and Safeway available towards Zephyr Cove. I wished the beds were Queen size since I am large, but managed nonetheless. It was extremely easy dealing with Walt and getting in and out of the place with a key code.

Had a great stay at Walt’s place. Beautifully maintained and the back is a great place for my dog to roam and kids to sled! Walt was easy to talk to and addressed a bathroom issue very quickly. Will love to vacation here again.

The Lake Tahoe Rim Lodge was an absolute gem. My first time using Airbnb and honestly was an amazing experience. Walt was very responsive even before our stay. I had a big family coming along for our trip for there first experience of Tahoe and there first experience in snow. The location was beautiful with a deck and forest surrounding for the kids to play in the snow fall. The home was so cozy and relaxing with everything you needed to properly host your guest. I will definitely be staying here again next year! Thank you so much Walt!

Walt’s place was spacious both on the inside and its surrounding area. Checking in and out was smooth and the kitchen was well-equipped for us to do some light cooking. The only thing we wish it had was some brushes to get snow off the cars as we got a fair amount of snow the night before our checkout and ended up spending several hours getting the cars in drivable condition. Other than that, we had a great trip and would recommend the place!

Great location less than 10 minutes from Stagecoach Lodge/Lift at Heavenly ski resort. The house is just as pictured and the kitchen well stocked. Walt’s instructions made it very easy to check in/out. We would definitely stay here again.

Walt’s place is fantastic! I do not think that the pictures do it justice at all. My 10 friends and I were pleasantly surprised when we arrived. There is a lot of space, but it’s all hardwood floors so if you plan on putting 12 people in it who aren’t comfortable sharing a bed, I would suggest bringing a blow up mattress or something. Kitchen is well equipped, we cooked one night and had a lot of fun doing it.
It’s about 10 or so miles from Heavenly Ski Resort, so that’s a major plus.
One thing! In getting there, Google Maps will lead you to believe it’s the wrong house. When you are about to arrive just remember “it’s the last house after your final turn”. When you do your last turn, there will be two houses on your right, it’s the second one. I walked up to the first one and was fairly confused at first. 🙂

My family of 10 came to visit Lake Tahoe for a weekend of snowboarding, and this BEAUTIFUL home made our trip all the more enjoyable. The check in and check out instructions were very clearly communicated, and well ahead of time. The house was clean, and generously stocked for our convenience! Walt was available at any time of the day for any questions I might have had, and responded quickly via text messages. Walt also was extremely accommodating to any specific requests our family may have had, and worked with us to make our stay comfortable. I would highly recommend this home to my friends and family, and would definitely be interested in visiting again, especially during the warm season!

My fiancé and I stayed here a week ago with a few friends!! We were unable to go snowboarding, but we did have a blast in the backyard!!! It was so beautiful and the host were amazing!!! I will definitely be booking with them again!!!!! I wish I could post a pic of the giant snowman we made :)!!! Thank you again Walt and Terri!!!

They charged cleaning fee already but they still want us to clean the dishes, took off all the bed cover pillow cover, clean the garbage can and all that. But house looks good and house own’s are friendly.

The house is, in a word, spectacular. Upon entering, not only were we greeted with an amazing space, there was also a great bottle of wine, hand picked cookies and a complimentary mug waiting for us on the kitchen counter. All of that, along with a hand written thank you note.
We had five adults, one teen, one tween & a seven year old child, all of whom had the time of their lives!! There was PLENTY of space for everyone!!
The house is one of two on a cul de sac. There is forest and a nice park across the street (not that you need it!!). Seriously, the hiking trails are right out your door, snowboarding & casinos are ten minutes away. You have very restaurants, coffee and, oh, Lake Tahoe down the hill!!
The only drawback is that we could not stay longer!!
Book this house, you will not be disappointed!!!

Walt is an amazing host! The home was perfectly advertised, an amazingly well stocked kitchen (that you can’t tell from the photos) and an all around pleasure to work with getting the trip ready. (he even bought us groceries – that of course we paid for – so we didn’t have to worry about it ourselves)
My friends and I had an amazing time at the house after long days of skiing. I wish we had more time to enjoy the woods and hiking around. We may have to make another trip back.

The hosts were great on accommodating our needs. We have 5 small dogs making it hard to find a lodging. The communication around that was very helpful and the hosts made it happen for us without having to adjust our travel plan.
The hosts also checked in with us on the day of arrival and made sure we had all what we needed. They’re very responsive via text message.
The house was very beautifully renovated and all 7 of us had a comfortable stay. The location is also very convenient. Just a few miles away from Heavenly and south Tahoe town center.
Would definitely recommend to others.

Rented this place for with 8 friends for a weekend of skiing at Heavenly and Kirkwood. This place is giant with lots of space and a huge, fully stocked kitchen. The owner was very responsive and considerate! He asked if we would be arriving after dark because he would turn the porch light on for us. I would definitely recommend this place and would stay here again!

The house was so inviting. We stayed here for my birthday and had a few friends with us. Upon entering the house, we found a dog bed and two bowls all set out for our two dogs. It was a really special touch. The kitchen was great for entertaining well stocked with all the dishware we could need. The back deck. Wow. What a great place to relax and play card games while lighting up the bbq. We spent most of the weekend here. The master bath was certainly the crowning gem. The tub is very large, and the shower has plenty of room.
Have already recommended this place to our friends. We are trying to figure out when we can to come back for a family get together.

I loved this house! I wish we stayed longer to take advantage of everything here! The kitchen was fully equipped with every appliance you could need. We initially planned to find a place for brunch and coffee, but instead put the beautiful kitchen to good use (with a bunch of food the owners offered to get for us since we couldn’t stop by the grocery on our way up). They also had a French press for coffee lovers and a fully stocked tea assortment for tea drinkers like me! I can’t believe I found a place that had the warmth of a comfortable home, but the amenities and convenience of a hotel. Awesome surround sound in the living room, which is open to the kitchen, so we played music while we cooked and ate. The deck was perfect when we made mimosas and hung outside with beautiful trees and foliage surrounding us. Lastly, the owners kept immediate contact with me prior to, to quell any concerns I had about the house, and even further information on surrounding activities like the beaches and BBQ areas. I really don’t know where you can find a better place to stay, and if you don’t choose this place, that’ll open another weekend for me to come back! Thank you again for sharing your beautiful home!

Stayed one night
This space is definitely of 4 star hotel quality. The entire cabin is spacious and luxurious, it was perfect for a 12 person party. The kitchen and living room flow into the back deck which was great for entertaining a large group. Walt was very accommodating and even offered to make a grocery run to have the kitchen stocked before we arrived. Check-in and check-out were hassle-free (key-less entry doors). We will definitely be coming back here again.
